Terms & Conditions
Agreement to terms
By downloading, installing, or using any app published by Longdog Apps ("we", "us", "our"), including Ernie's Hikes, BP Rage Tracker, Total Recall, Pocket Flight Planner, Radar, NOTAM Decoder, and Ottawa Parks, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Use of the app
Our apps are provided for personal, non-commercial use in planning and recording outdoor activity or personal health readings. You agree to use them lawfully and not to misuse any community or sharing feature — including posting content that is abusive, misleading, or infringes on someone else's rights.
Your content
You retain ownership of the hikes, readings, photos, and notes you create. By choosing to share content publicly within the app, you grant us a limited license to display that content to other users of the app, solely for that purpose. You can remove shared or exported content at any time.
Outdoor activity & safety
Hiking and other outdoor activity carry inherent risk. Route data, elevation information, and trail conditions shown in Ernie's Hikes are provided for reference only and may be incomplete or out of date. You are responsible for your own safety — always check current conditions, carry appropriate gear, and use your own judgment on trail.
Not medical advice
BP Rage Tracker is a personal logging tool, not a medical device, and its "rage scale" is a plain-language label on top of standard blood pressure categories, not a diagnosis. It does not replace professional medical advice, and you should always consult a qualified healthcare provider about your blood pressure, your readings, or any symptoms you're experiencing.
Not for navigation
Pocket Flight Planner is a planning and reference tool, not an approved primary means of navigation, and it is not a substitute for official current charts, NOTAMs, or weather briefings. Airport, NAVAID, airspace, weather, and NOTAM data shown in the app may be incomplete, delayed, or out of date. You are responsible for your own flight planning and decisions — always verify safety-critical information through official sources before you fly.
Third-party recall data
Total Recall displays recall and safety alert information published by the Government of Canada under the Open Government Licence – Canada. We don't control the accuracy, completeness, or timing of that data, and a recall's absence from the app doesn't mean a product hasn't been recalled. Always check recalls-rappels.canada.ca directly for anything safety-critical.
Situational awareness only
Radar displays live aircraft position data from airplanes.live, a third-party public ADS-B flight-tracking network that we don't operate or control. Coverage is incomplete — aircraft without ADS-B Out, or outside network coverage, may not appear — and positions, altitudes, and headings can be delayed by several seconds. Radar is a hobbyist tracking tool for situational awareness only. It is not an air-traffic control, navigation, or collision-avoidance system, and must never be used as your sole or primary source of separation from other aircraft.
Reference use only
NOTAM Decoder parses and displays published NOTAM and open source aeronautical data for reference. Parsing free-text NOTAMs is inherently imperfect — a field may be mis-extracted, a coordinate may be misread, or a NOTAM may be missing entirely. NOTAM Decoder is not an approved primary source for flight planning or operations. Always verify NOTAM and airspace information through official sources before you rely on it.
Personal projects, provided as-is
Personal engineering projects, not a published or supported product — it isn't distributed on the App Store, and features may change, break, or disappear without notice. All data it displays or lets you plan against is for reference only.
Municipal open data, reference only
Ottawa Parks displays park boundaries, dog-designation policy, and other attributes published by the City of Ottawa's open data service. We don't control its accuracy or how current it is, and a park's status or boundary can change before the City's data does. Always follow posted on-site signage for anything that matters in the moment, such as a park's dog policy.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate, particularly for GPS, elevation, or third-party trail data.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Longdog Apps is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including injury sustained during outdoor activity — arising from your use of the app.
Changes to the app or these terms
We may update the app or these terms over time. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.
